Josie Meyer - Secretary
Growing up on a farm provided me with a strong and respectful insight to the importance of looking
after our land and water. My background as a project manager (research, special events, marketing,
communications, fundraising, raising awareness via media and engaging with many stakeholders)
and working with more than 250 SA charities and not for profit organisations taught me the
importance of giving back to the community instead of taking and also to take a stand on issues of
importance. I am passionate about making sure we take care of and have good clean green spaces
with plenty of trees for future generations.

Bill Scott -Committee Member
Bill is originally from the market town of Morpeth, Northumberland, England, with farming and gardening in his "DNA". Bill has observed that many cultural groups, such as Europeans, have an affinity for preserving depleting agricultural land and are passionate about "getting the earth into their fingernails growing their own food". With climate change, Bill questions the wisdom of new housing developments with no roof ventilation and lack of outside green space in a country like Australia. Bill's father taught him about the value of recycling: "nothing went into the rubbish bin until he could think of no further use". As a PLEG committee member, Bill will certainly do his very best for a sustainable future.
